Reader's Workshop

We spend time everyday Reading Independently and Reading with a Partner.

Independent Reading

"The best way to become a better reader is to practice each day, with books you choose, on your just-right reading level. It soon becomes habit." - The Sisters

We have been working on building up our reading stamina.

We have built up our reading stamina to 10-15 minutes.

Each child has their own browsing box.  The children have the opportunity to shop for new books every week.  We spend a lot of time early in the year learning about 'Just Right Books' and the different ways to read a book.
